Are Your Expectations Holding You Back? [PART 1/3]

attitude

A few days ago,  I went live in our Academy of Manifestation and discussed the nuance between our beliefs and expectations. If you’ve missed this discussion, find it here.

When I went live, I was thinking about my mentees and felt called to ask all of you: “What do you hope for?”

I've noticed something fascinating in our work together: We all have fantastic and amazing C-type goals, but do we always expect the best to happen?

In my New Year’s Newsletter, I talked about reshaping our self-image. If you missed it, make sure you gain access by clicking this link.

This is what has been on my mind lately: even if your beliefs transform, a hidden force might be at play keeping your results the same - your expectations.

Think about it for a moment. When you start a new project, launch a program, or step into a client call, what outcome are you consciously or unconsciously expecting? Are you preparing for the best outcome out of every situation, or unconsciously desiring the same results you've always experienced?

I’ve been there. I had great goals for myself and my business, but I often would find myself expecting the worst to happen. I understood then and became aware that this is where the power of self-fulfilling prophecy was at play.

Our expectations act like an invisible ceiling, subtly influencing every action we take and every opportunity we either seize or let pass by. When we expect average results, we unconsciously align our actions, energy, and choices with that expectation. It's like setting your GPS to a familiar destination - you'll always end up where you've been before…

But here's the exciting part: Just as I've learned to rewrite my beliefs, I understood that I can consciously choose to simply expect extraordinary outcomes. It was only when I completely began to revamp my expectations, that my life completely began to change in the most abundant ways!  The truth is that you can rewrite any paradigms (more on that tomorrow for part II).

This isn't about blind optimism - it's about expanding your vision of what's possible… and allowing yourself to prepare for excellence. You got to learn to demand it before you can experience it.

Starting today, I invite you to try something different. I encourage you to often pause and ask yourself: "What if this turns out even better than I can imagine?"

Allow yourself to feel into that possibility.

Your current reality was once just an expectation that came true. So why not start expecting something truly magnificent?
