Are Your Paradigms Holding You Back? [PART 2/3]

paradigms

Last week’s newsletter discussed self-fulfilling prophecies and the power of expecting the best outcome possible when manifesting our goals. Read it by clicking this link.

There is a fascinating relationship between our paradigms and expectations.

A paradigm is essentially your personal "truth" about reality - the collection of beliefs, habits, and behaviours deeply programmed into your subconscious mind, mainly from the date you are born to when you are seven years old, but of course all the years you’ve lived up until now. Think of it as the lens through which you see everything in your life. This is why two people can look at the exact same situation and see completely different possibilities or limitations.

Think of your paradigm as the operating system running in the background of your mind. That deep, often invisible set of programs determines how you interpret and respond to everything in your life.

Your paradigms are not just thoughts - they're habits / patterns that have been etched into your subconscious mind through repetition by your life experiences and what you were taught to believe.

They operate below our conscious awareness, silently directing our decisions, reactions, and yes, you guessed it - our expectations. It's like having an invisible autopilot that's been programmed by your past experiences, constantly steering your life in familiar directions.

But here's the empowering truth: once you understand your paradigm is learned, you realize it can be reprogrammed. Every time you consciously choose to expect something different, to act in a new way or to persist despite old fears, you're actually beginning to shift your paradigm.

This is why our work together is so powerful - we're not just changing surface thoughts; we're actually rewiring your mind's deepest programming.

Start by becoming aware of the subtle ways your current paradigm speaks through your expectations. When you hear yourself thinking "That's too ambitious" or "Things like that don't happen for people like me," you're getting a direct glimpse of your paradigm at work. These are precious moments - they're your opportunity to choose a new programming.

Each time you consciously choose to expect the best outcome and something greater, you're not just changing a surface thought - you're actually writing new code into your paradigm. It's like creating a positive feedback loop: as your expectations expand, they begin to challenge and reshape your paradigm, which in turn makes higher expectations feel more natural.

Aligning our expectations allows us to receive all the abundance that is available to us.

This is why persistent, conscious expectation-setting is so powerful. You're not just changing your thoughts - you're literally upgrading your mind's operating system to one that's compatible with the success you're meant to achieve.

What would you expect for yourself if you were operating from a paradigm of unlimited potential? Let that question sit with you today.

Expecting amazing things for you,

With Love & Light,
